Happy Zion Day!

The Boy on His Day...

There was no stopping Zion during his week long Birthday. He had tons of family and friends around him and the love was flowing. Also, since he is my mini-foodie, I made sure he had the best of everything to eat on his day! Waffles&Bacon for brekkie, avocado roll for lunch, and ribeye with sticky-rice and spinach for dinner. Chantilly cake for his candle.
There was a big party over the weekend for him as well with even more food, he loved it. He had been teetering around for a few weeks and the weekend after his birthday he was up and walking. Its been a busy year having you around Z and we wouldn't have had it any other way.
Happiest Birthday Wishes to YOU!

Long shadows, Short days

Dear Aijalon and Zion,

I am captivated by you both. Watching life unfold before you is the greatest gift. I am forever changed. Forever in love.

Next Stop: The Top of Mount Everest

Oh, what big eyes you have!

After taking careful notes watching his brother get into this chair he was ready to climb on in. Somehow this sweet little 10 month old squirmed his baby booty into the seat. He was so proud of himself that he insisted on being photographed to celebrate his success.
(I would've taken pics of the ascent, but I was too busy making sure the little guy didn't tip the chair over while he was standing and jumping in it!)

KC from the Sky

Downtown Airfields

For Aijalon's 3rd Birthday we decided to take him on a helicopter tour of Kansas City. It is an interesting vantage point, so close yet so far from the ground. At over 100 mph we zipped from one end of the city to the other, touring the stadiums, Nelson, Plaza, Loose Park, and all of downtown in a bright red whirly-bird.
He loved it!

Welcome to Munchkin Land

❝We represent...❞

Even with a copious amount of gel and hairspray Aijalon's hair only made it for the first couple of houses.

I was Glinda, I love the family costumes❣
Due to poor Baby Z's teething his lapel got a little soggy:)

We took the boys to a very hilly neighborhood that was packed with other "ghoulies" of the night.
Z spent the night on daddy's shoulders surveying the scene and of course cracking himself up. (The kid loves to laugh.)
Aijalon and I hit all the houses we could before our sugar buzz wore off. We ended up with a fair amount of candy and enough Halloween fun to last us till next year.
Happy Halloween!

KC Zoo

Of course the boys love the zoo. Aijalon loves to mimic all the animals and it cracks Zion up to see his brother so animated. This stage is my favorite part of the zoo, its the best spot for us all to take a break. And for me to snap some pics.
